AP Type Motor-Driven Grease Pump

The AP Type Motor-Driven Grease Pump is the vehicle-supply pump in the grease range, running at DC 12 V or 24 V for automotive chassis and engineering machinery. Discharge is 260 ml/min from a 3 L polycarbonate reservoir, and the pump is ordered with or without a pressure take-off device.
How it works
Designed for automotive chassis (buses, trucks, trailers) and for engineering machinery, running directly off vehicle supply at DC 12 V or 24 V. Rated output pressure is 3.8 MPa, which is the ceiling of the low pressure class.
With a pressure take-off device fitted, the AP drives AD volumetric, RH-3 and 35 type distributors, dosing a stated volume to each point per cycle. Without one, it drives U type and SD progressive distributors, feeding the points in strict sequence.
Both circuits are common on vehicles and the take-off device is fitted at manufacture, so the circuit type has to be stated on the order.
Specifications
Model matrix by order code
The pressure take-off device is fitted at manufacture. State whether the circuit is volumetric or progressive when ordering.

Installation notes
Because the AP runs off the vehicle's own DC 12 V or 24 V supply, fitting it is a wiring tap into the chassis electrics rather than a plant power run. Confirm which voltage the chassis carries before ordering. The pressure take-off device that lets the pump cycle a volumetric distributor is fitted at manufacture and is not a field-retrofit part, so state at order time whether the circuit is volumetric (AD, RH-3 or 35 type) or progressive (U type or SD distributor, pump without the take-off device).
Before you order
- 3.8 MPa maximum. Do not specify an AP for a progressive circuit that needs high pressure at the point. That is a ZJ application.
- NLGI 000# to 0# grease only. A stiffer grade will not draw down the 3 L reservoir reliably on vehicle supply.
Warranty
One year against manufacturing defect from date of invoice.
How it pairs
The AP Type Motor-Driven Grease Pump is commonly specified alongside the AD Volume Type Distributor, the RH3 Type Volumetric Distributor, the 35 Type Volumetric Distributor, the U-Shaped Integrated Progressive Distributor, and the SD2 Type Progressive Grease Distributor. That is the same recommendation carried on its own datasheet, not a generic same-category suggestion.

Frequently asked questions
Can I switch the AP between a volumetric and progressive circuit after it arrives?
No. The pressure take-off device is fitted at manufacture, so the circuit type has to be stated on the order, not decided once the pump is in hand.
What grease does the AP pump take?
NLGI 000# to 0#. A stiffer grade will not draw down the 3 L reservoir reliably on vehicle supply.
What voltage does the AP run on?
DC 12 V or 24 V, taken directly from the vehicle's own supply.
