NKHY / PH Hand Type Oil Pump

The NKHY / PH Hand Type Oil Pump feeds an oil circuit by hand, so no electrical supply is needed anywhere in it. Built in resist-type and volume type builds, with two M10×1 outlets, one on each side.

How it works

Each pull of the lever displaces a measured volume into the main line. In a resist-type circuit that volume is divided between points in proportion, set by the restriction at each point.

The X and T builds carry a pressure take-off mechanism, which relieves the main line at the end of the stroke. That is what a positive-displacement volumetric distributor needs to re-meter, so those builds (and only those) can dose oil to each point through a volume type distributor.

The builds with a pressure take-off mechanism suit positive-displacement volume type distributors but cannot be used with resist-type distributors.

Installation notes

Fitting needs no electrical run: connect the outlet, or outlets, on M10×1 to the distributor's main tube and mount the pump within reach of the lever. Both outlets are provided on every build, one left and one right, so a resist-type circuit can feed two branches from a single pump; on a progressive circuit use one outlet only and cap the other.

Which build to order follows from the distributor it feeds. The plain NKHY-8 and PH-1600 are resist-type builds, with no pressure take-off at all. NKHY-8X and PH-1600T carry the take-off mechanism a positive-displacement distributor needs to re-meter, so those two suit a volume type circuit. The two builds are not interchangeable: ordering the wrong one gives a circuit that appears to run and lubricates nothing.

No. It runs entirely on the lever, so it suits machines and points with no spare electrical supply nearby.

Can I use both outlets at the same time?

On a resist-type circuit, yes: left and right feed two separate branches. On a progressive circuit use one outlet only and plug the other, or the sequence breaks.

How do I know which build matches my distributor?

NKHY-8 and PH-1600 are resist-type builds, with no pressure take-off mechanism. NKHY-8X and PH-1600T carry that mechanism, for a volume type circuit.
