PJ Series Motor-Driven Grease Pump

The PJ Series Motor-Driven Grease Pump is a tank-type grease pump for NLGI 000# – 1# grease, supplied in two builds and sized by reservoir from 0.3 to 2.5 L.

How it works

Which build you order decides which distributor the pump can drive. Without the pressure relief mechanism, the PJ feeds progressive distributors: SDA and SD series, and the U-shaped integrated block. With the pressure relief mechanism, it feeds positive volumetric distributors: 35 type, DK, AD and RH-3.

A pressure regulating valve sets the working pressure and protects the pump. A bleed valve clears air from the pump cavity so that delivery starts clean rather than on a compressible slug of trapped air.

The tank uses a pressure floating platform, which draws grease down without leaving it to settle when a packed vacuum cartridge is used, and can carry a low-level alarm switch. Cycling is driven by the machine's PLC or by a dedicated pump controller.

Every model is 8.0 MPa at 20 mL/min: only the reservoir, the motor and the envelope change. These codes are stems: the manufacturer prints them as PJ-20□03□□, where the first position is the AC motor and the trailing pair set the pressure relief valve and the low level switch. It marks those three as options without printing their characters, so confirm the full code with us on order. The DC rows carry a literal 6 in the motor position, which is why they read as complete.

Dimensions

H, L and D are in the model table. Ask us for the dimensioned drawing before machining a mounting.

Before you order

  • State the distributor type on the order. A PJ without the pressure relief mechanism will not cycle a volumetric distributor, and the mechanism is not a field-fit part.
  • Specifying the low level switch adds 45 mm to the H in the model table. Check headroom before mounting to a fixed enclosure.

Warranty

One year against manufacturing defect from date of invoice.

How it pairs

The PJ Series Motor-Driven Grease Pump is commonly specified alongside the SD2 Type Progressive Grease Distributor, the U-Shaped Integrated Progressive Distributor, the 35 Type Volumetric Distributor, the DK Type Single Distributor, the AD Volume Type Distributor, the RH3 Type Volumetric Distributor, and the NKGH Type Manual Grease Pump. That is the same recommendation carried on its own datasheet, not a generic same-category suggestion.
